Let me ask you a question. Have you seen the stories in the news about the bullying epidemic and feel that something needs to be done? Why are we only depending on the school system to address this very important issue? Maybe you talk to your kids about bullying, yet still feel helpless because there are so many things you can't control. Perhaps you have asked yourself, 'What can I do to make sure my child is safe', 'How can I be better equipped to know what to look for?', 'How can I take an active role in preventing bullying in my community?' I will show you. I created this course for people just like you. Our strength lies in our collective action and understanding.
My name is Sandy, and in April, 2018 my son Shane took his own life. I later learned that he was bullied. He was only 11 years old. I talk to my kids ALL THE TIME: about bullying, about their lives, about everything. I know their friends. I know their friends' families. I make memories with them, because memories are made - not purchased. For the rest of my life, I will be asking myself what I missed, how I could have saved my son's life. I will be looking for answers to questions that I know I'll never find. Yet, this does not prevent me from searching. I have completed countless hours of evidence-based research. And in my quest for answers, I have learned a lot. I thought I knew what I needed to know about bullying. I didn't. I created this course so that it can possibly help save the lives of other kids who are silently suffering. If this can happen to me, it can happen to you.
Listen. It may seem overwhelming. You may be sitting at your computer, or maybe on your phone and you're reading this for a reason. You want to make sure that you do everything you can to make sure that what happened to Shane, doesn't happen to your child - or any other child in your community, but you can't do it alone. And, you know that while it seems possible to create a community-wide bullying prevention program, you just don't know where to start. Right now - you have the chance to grab the road-map that will show you exactly how. I have spent countless hours doing the research, and creating this course so that I can help activate the silent majority of kids, and to empower adults in our communities to take action. Because it needs to be done.
In order to make change, we all have to start on the same page. In this lesson, you will learn the definition of bullying and the various components of bullying behavior. I will also talk about how bullying can be very obvious, or very well hidden.
In this lesson, you will learn how kids experience bullying, and the various types/categories of bullying. Many kids experience a multitude of these every day. I'll also discuss some common myths about bullying as well as how bullying is contagious behavior.
You will also receive a FREE bonus!
The third lesson we will discuss the various roles kids play in bullying - even kids who simply witness it happening. Bullying affects everyone: kids who are bullied, kids who bully, and kids who see bullying happen. I will also give you some helpful tips when addressing bullying behavior and the short and long term consequences of all kids involved in bullying.
In lesson 4, I will talk about some of the things that programs and activities outside of school can do for not only kids that are bullied, but for kids who bully others. I'll also reveal the massive implications and effects bullying has on kids who witness bullying, why kids don't report bullying, and how you can empower your kids to address bullying in a safe, yet effective manner.
You will also get a FREE bonus document that shares tips on ways to empower your kids to take a more active role in preventing bullying.
In this valuable lesson, I will talk about things that you can do, and what to look for. I will address the warning signs of both bullying and online/cyber bullying, the symptoms of kids who are being bullied and what to do if you learn that your child is being bullied. I've also included TWO FREE bonuses to use immediately so that you can better recognize the warning signs, and what to do in a bullying situation.
